Ingredients

Oats Base
  • 2 cups Rolled Oats Use old-fashioned rolled oats for best texture.
  • 2 cups Milk Can use dairy or non-dairy milk (almond, oat, etc.).
  • ½ cup Greek Yogurt Plain, unsweetened yogurt adds creaminess and protein.
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Pure vanilla extract enhances flavor.
Blueberry Mixture
  • 1 cup Fresh Blueberries Can substitute with frozen blueberries if fresh are unavailable.
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon Adds warmth and depth to the flavor.
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt Balances sweetness.
Toppings (Optional)
  • ¼ cup Chopped Nuts Almonds or walnuts for added crunch.
  • ¼ cup Additional Blueberries For garnish.

Method

Prepare the Oats Base
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. This mixture will absorb the liquid overnight, creating a creamy texture.
  2. Add the salt and cinnamon to the oat mixture and stir again to ensure even distribution of flavors.
Add Blueberries
  1. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries into the oat mixture. Be careful not to mash the blueberries, as you want to keep some whole for texture and flavor.
Assemble and Refrigerate
  1. Divide the oat mixture evenly among four mason jars or containers. Seal them tightly with lids.
  2. Refrigerate the jars overnight (or for at least 4 hours) to allow the oats to soak up the liquid and soften.
Serve
  1. In the morning, remove the jars from the refrigerator. If desired, add additional blueberries and chopped nuts on top for garnish.
  2. Enjoy your Blueberry Muffin Overnight Oats cold or warm them slightly in the microwave for 30 seconds if you prefer.
