Oats Base
2cupsRolled OatsUse old-fashioned rolled oats for best texture.
2cupsMilkCan use dairy or non-dairy milk (almond, oat, etc.).
½cupGreek YogurtPlain, unsweetened yogurt adds creaminess and protein.
1cupFresh BlueberriesCan substitute with frozen blueberries if fresh are unavailable.
½teaspoonCinnamonAdds warmth and depth to the flavor.
¼teaspoonSaltBalances sweetness.
Toppings (Optional)
¼cupChopped NutsAlmonds or walnuts for added crunch.
¼cupAdditional BlueberriesFor garnish.
Method
Prepare the Oats Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. This mixture will absorb the liquid overnight, creating a creamy texture.
Add the salt and cinnamon to the oat mixture and stir again to ensure even distribution of flavors.
Add Blueberries
Gently fold in the fresh blueberries into the oat mixture. Be careful not to mash the blueberries, as you want to keep some whole for texture and flavor.
Assemble and Refrigerate
Divide the oat mixture evenly among four mason jars or containers. Seal them tightly with lids.
Refrigerate the jars overnight (or for at least 4 hours) to allow the oats to soak up the liquid and soften.
Serve
In the morning, remove the jars from the refrigerator. If desired, add additional blueberries and chopped nuts on top for garnish.
Enjoy your Blueberry Muffin Overnight Oats cold or warm them slightly in the microwave for 30 seconds if you prefer.
These overnight oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, making them a great meal prep option. Feel free to customize with other fruits or nuts based on your preference.
