How to Make Caramel Pecan Cinnamon Rolls
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk and melted butter. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it gently for 5-7 minutes or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and set it in a warm location. Allow it to rise for about an hour or until it has doubled in size.
- In one bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. In another bowl, chop the pecans into small pieces.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down gently. Roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about half an inch thick.
- Spread melted butter over the surface and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon-sugar mixture and chopped pecans.
- Carefully roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, creating a log. Slice the log into pieces about two inches thick.
- Arrange them in greased baking dishes that are lined with caramel sauce.
- Let the sliced rolls rest for another 30 minutes while you preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with more caramel sauce before serving.
