How to Make Chicken Cordon Bleu with Swiss Cheese Sauce
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray the baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Flatten each chicken breast between plastic wrap to about half an inch thick.
- On each flattened chicken breast, place slices of ham and Swiss cheese. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- Set up a dredging station with seasoned flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs. Coat chicken in flour, dip in egg, and roll in breadcrumbs.
- Arrange coated chicken rolls in the baking dish. Drizzle melted butter and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- To make the Swiss cheese sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in heavy cream and garlic powder until sauce thickens.
