How to Make Garlic Butter Steak & Cheddar Potato Bake
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and thinly slice the Yukon Gold potatoes. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute, then add the seasoned ribeye steak, cooking until browned.
  4. Start layering in a baking dish: half of the sliced potatoes, drizzle with half of the heavy cream, and cover with half of the sautéed steak. Repeat the layering.
  5. Sprinkle grated sharp cheddar cheese on top, then cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
