How to Make Loaded Smashed Tater Tots
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Spread frozen tater tots on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake according to package instructions, about 25-30 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Then, gently smash each tot with a fork or potato masher.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and crispy bacon bits generously over each smashed tot. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Top with chopped green onions and drizzle ranch dressing just before serving hot.
