How to Make Maryland Style Crab Cakes
- Gently go through the fresh lump crab meat and remove any shells.
- In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and Old Bay seasoning. Stir until fully blended.
- Sprinkle fresh breadcrumbs into the mixture and stir lightly.
- Carefully fold the picked crab meat into the mixture.
- Shape the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate the formed cakes for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each cake for about 4 minutes per side.
- Plate the crab cakes and serve them with tartar sauce.
