How to Make Mississippi Mud Chicken
- Start by spraying the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or use a liner for easy cleanup.
- Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pour the pepperoncini juice over the chicken, then sprinkle the ranch and au jus seasoning evenly on top.
- Distribute the butter pieces over the chicken and arrange the pepperoncini peppers on top.
- Cover your slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Use two forks to shred the chicken in the slow cooker, mixing it with the sauce, then serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
