Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then drain excess grease.
  4. Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in sugar and tomato sauce, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Blend softened cream cheese and sour cream in a separate bowl until smooth.
  7. Layer half of the cooked noodles in the baking dish, followed by half of the cream cheese mixture and half of the meat sauce. Repeat layering.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  9. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
