  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
For the Topping
  • ¼ cup cinnamon sugar mixture For sprinkling on top

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine warm water and brown sugar in a bowl, then let it sit for five minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, salt, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Add the pumpkin puree and the activated yeast mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir gently until a soft dough begins to form.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for about five minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise for one hour until doubled in size.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough, divide it into equal pieces, and shape into pretzels.
  7. Preheat your oven to 400°F and bake the pretzels for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush the warm pretzels with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
