Preparation Steps
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and keep warm.
  3. Add the remaining tablespoon of oil and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds.
  5. Whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer, letting it bubble.
  7. Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce, cooking for about 1-2 minutes.
  8. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  9. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, and serve hot.
