Wrapping
  • 10 gyoza wrappers use store-bought or homemade.
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce flavorful base for dipping.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil adds a rich, nutty essence.

Method
 

Making Gyoza
  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together chopped cabbage, shrimp (chopped into small pieces), minced garlic, grated ginger, and green onions.
  2. Pour in the low-sodium soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir well to combine.
  3. Take a gyoza wrapper, spoon about one tablespoon of filling onto the center. Wet edges, fold into a half-moon shape, and pinch to seal.
  4. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Fry gyoza for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Add ¼ cup of water to the pan and cover. Steam for 5-6 minutes until cooked through.
  6. In a small bowl, mix remaining soy sauce and sesame oil for the dipping sauce.
