  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Method
 

How to Make Struffoli
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Create a well in the center and add the eggs and melted butter. Stir until a soft, cohesive dough forms.
  2. Lightly flour your countertop and gently knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into marble-sized balls.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the dough balls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes each.
  5. In a separate saucepan, warm the honey until it becomes runny. Optionally add lemon or orange zest.
  6. Toss the fried Struffoli in the warm honey glaze until evenly coated, then transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with confetti.
